Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective 3 November 2026 · Version replace_with_approved_terms_version

This policy explains when SCM programme payments can be refunded, how to cancel, and what to do if a payment is still being confirmed. Please review it before starting checkout.

1. Programme fees and payment schedule

The current programme fee is ₦10,000 per monthly instalment, paid through Monnify checkout. The checkout screen shows the amount and instalment due before you authorize payment. Instalments are not an automatic recurring charge; you must start each checkout yourself.

Access is released only after SCM confirms the corresponding payment with Monnify. A bank debit, receipt, or return to the programme website by itself is not confirmation.

2. When payments are generally non-refundable

Because each instalment reserves programme capacity and funds instruction, cohort operations, and learning access, an instalment is generally non-refundable once its learning period has started or the related learning access has been made available. This includes a change of mind, non-attendance, or a learner choosing not to use access that was provided.

You will not be charged for future instalments automatically. Stopping participation does not create a refund for an instalment already used to provide a learning period.

3. When SCM will review a refund

  • Duplicate payment: two or more successful charges for the same learner and instalment will be checked and any verified duplicate charge will be refunded.
  • SCM cancels or cannot provide the programme: if SCM cancels a cohort or cannot deliver a paid learning period, SCM will offer a suitable transfer or a refund for the undelivered portion.
  • Unstarted learning period: a refund request for an instalment whose learning period has not started may be considered if received at least seven calendar days before that period begins.
  • Confirmed payment, missing access: SCM will first investigate and restore the access due. If SCM cannot resolve a confirmed payment for a service it has not provided, the undelivered portion will be reviewed for refund.
  • Unauthorized payment: report a charge you did not authorize promptly. SCM will review the transaction and may request reasonable information to verify the claim.

Refunds are limited to the amount actually paid for the affected instalment or undelivered portion. This policy does not remove any consumer rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

4. Pending, failed, or disputed payments

If you were debited but SCM shows a payment as pending or unconfirmed, do not pay again. Open your account payment history and use Check payment. SCM verifies the reference with Monnify before updating access. If the status remains unresolved, contact SCM with your payment reference, Monnify transaction reference, amount, date, and receipt. Do not send your password, PIN, one-time code, or full card details.

A pending transaction is not automatically refundable while Monnify is still determining its status. Once the provider confirms a failed, reversed, or duplicate charge, SCM will reconcile the record and process any refund due under this policy.

5. How to request a refund

  1. Sign in using the email address associated with the payment.
  2. Contact the SCM programme team through the official support channel provided in your account or payment communication.
  3. Include your account email, payment reference, Monnify transaction reference (if available), amount, payment date, and a short explanation. Never include a password, PIN, or one-time verification code.

SCM will acknowledge a complete request and may ask for additional evidence needed to verify it. Approved refunds are sent through the original payment route where available. SCM aims to initiate an approved refund within ten business days; your bank or payment provider may take additional time to post it.

6. Installment due dates, reminders, and access pauses

After your first successful installment, each later installment is due on the monthly anniversary of that first payment, using Nigeria time. If that date does not occur in a month, the installment is due on that month’s final calendar day. Your account shows the next due date. SCM will send email reminders seven days before the due date, on the due date, three days after, and when the seven-day grace period ends.

The course weeks for an unpaid installment remain locked. If the installment is still unpaid after seven full days of grace, SCM will automatically pause the enrollment and revoke learning access. This is a suspension, not a permanent expulsion. An administrator can recheck an unresolved transaction with Monnify; access is restored when the provider confirms payment.

SCM does not charge installments automatically. A payment that is pending or under reconciliation is not treated as confirmed; if you were debited, do not pay twice. Contact SCM promptly with the transaction reference so staff can review the payment before taking follow-up action. This policy does not remove any consumer rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

These installment deadlines and access-pause terms apply only after you accept version replace_with_approved_terms_version. Past due dates before your acceptance will not be used to suspend your enrollment.

7. Changes to this policy

Any material change will be published here with a new effective date and version. The version shown during checkout is recorded with the payment so the terms accepted can be identified later.
